The Following is a list of ideas that should go into their Scout survival kits, sometimes referred to as a First - Aid / Emergency Kits.

Small Signal Mirror 15 meters Strong Fishing Line
Adhesive Band-aid Loud Wistle
Waterproof matches in a Waterproof Case Rubber Bands
Small One Blade Pocket Knife 2 - 4 Meters Snare Wire
3M Tinfoil Folded 15 Meters of Twine or String
50 Cents Fish Hook and Sinkers
Antiseptic Wipe Candle Stub
Oxo Cubes or Packets Tweezers
Lip Protection Pencil And Paper
Survival Blanket ---
Wire Saw ( Optional ) Water Purification Tablets ( Optional )

All items should be packed in a small container and waterproofed. A "Tupperware "is ideal. The Scouts will learn how to use these items for survival in the woods. Once the container is sealed, it should only be opened in an emergency.

Aside from the survival kit, the Scouts will require the following for all outings.

Compass - A normal Compass with a plastic base is ideal.

Good Quality Pocket Knife (No sheath knifes please)
